The 2011 European Aerosol Conference was held in the fine city of Manchester in the north-west of England , during the period 4th-9th September 2011. The conference series is held under the auspices of the European Aerosol Assembly (EAA), a body that represents 12 national or regional societies. The Aerosol Society of the UK and Ireland has organised the EAC twice before: in Oxford in 1992 and in Dublin in 2000. We are proud to celebrate our 25th anniversary since the inauguration of the Society as hosts of EAC2011.
The field of aerosol science has grown rapidly in recent years and the conference will provide an essential forum for the latest and most stimulating developments. The programme was arranged thematically according to the various working groups of the EAA, namely:
- Aerosol-based Nanotechnology
- Aerosol Chemistry
- Aerosol Modelling
- Atmospheric Aerosol
- Electrical Effects
- Fundamentals
- Combustion Aerosols
- Instrumentation
- Particle-Lung Interactions
- PMx
An electronic version of the Conference Handbook is now available on the Scientific Programme page.
